WTC Final 2023: The Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team will lock horns against Australia in the final clash of the World Test Championship 2023 next week. The summit clash will take place at ‘The Oval’ in London from June 7 to 11.

This will be the second straight season when the Indian cricket team will feature in the final of the World Test Championship. The Indian side will be looking forward to moving past the disappointment of the previous season where they lost the final to New Zealand by 8 wickets at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Southampton.

Players of both the teams – India and Australia – have reached London and have already kickstarted their preparations for the WTC Final.

While the much-awaited WTC 2023 final is expected to be a hard-fought contest, that will feature multiple stars from both teams. However, the nature of Test cricket is such that there are chances that the game might end in a draw.

What will happen if the WTC Final 2023 ends in a draw?:

Even if the Australian cricket team finished at the top of the WTC 2021-23 points table, but that doesn’t mean that they will be given the title if the game is drawn. As per the rules, if the WTC match ends in a draw, then both sides will be declared joint winners of the World Test Championship.

In case of rain, a reserve day has been kept in place to make up for the lost time. But it will only be considered if there is a substantial loss in net playing time or a considerable loss of overs in the initial five days. For the unversed, the net playing time for every Test is 30 hours of play, six hours per day, or 90 overs per day.
