World Cup 2015: Highest Team Totals In World Cup Cricket

South Africa’s 411/4 against Ireland in the pool game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, is now the second highest team total in World Cup history.

Batting first, South African batsmen played aggressive cricket right from the first ball against the inexperienced Irish attack. Hashim Amla scored his 20th ODI hundred and became the fastest batsman (in terms of innings) to reach 20 hundreds in ODI cricket.

England’s highest world cup total = 334/4, 60 overs vs India at Lord’s on 7 June 1975.

The third highest total in World Cup history is also by South Africa. South Africa scored 408/5 in the pool match against West Indies at Sydney. South Africa have already scored 400+ plus score twice in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 so far.

The highest ever team total in World Cup cricket is 413/5 by India against Bermuda in 2007 World Cup.
