Veteran sports journalist and a renowned author Gulu Ezekiel has said that Mahendra Singh Dhoni might announce his retirement from ODI cricket before the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

Talking on Times Now’s The News Hour, Gulu Ezekiel criticized Dhoni’s sudden decision to retire from Test cricket and said, there is much more to this mystery than just a tiring body and pathetic recent record in overseas Test matches.

Gulu Ezekiel started the debate by saying that there’s surely some Indian Premier League or Chennai Super Kings angle attached to this mysterious retirement decision. Ezekiel said that there was a clear case of conflict of interest when Mahendra Singh Dhoni became the vice president of India Cements and there is surely pressure either from the court of from the board that prompted MS Dhoni to take this decision.

Gulu Ezekiel also said that people shouldn’t get shocked if Mahendra Singh Dhoni announces his retirement from ODI and T20 cricket as well, before the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

“The final 15-man for the World Cup 2015 squad hasn’t been announced yet. I won’t be surprised if Mahendra Singh Dhoni opts out from the World Cup too and announce his retirement from all forms of cricket very soon.” said Ezekiel.
