India‘s batting maestro, Sachin Tendulkar congratulated Sri Lanka‘s legends, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene on their glorious cricketing careers. Both the batsmen bid adieu to the game in the quarter final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 against South Africa at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Wednesday.
Sachin tweeted his congrats for Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene. Jayawrdene had chosen to retire from all forms of international cricket after the World Cup 2015, but would continue to play the franchise based forms. Sangakkara, on the other hand, has chosen to retire only from the limited-overs format and would continue to play Test cricket for some time before totally saying goodbye to international cricket.
