Sri Lanka have named a vastly experienced squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

Lasith Malinga, who is Sri Lanka’s most lethal fast bowler, has been included in Sri Lanka’s World Cup fifteen subject to fitness. Other than this, Sri Lanka have named an almost identical squad to the one that will play an ODI series against New Zealand. The only omission from that squad is Shaminda Eranga, who hasn’t been picked in Sri Lanka’s World Cup 2015 squad.

Sri Lanka’s Squad For The World Cup 2015: Angelo Mathews (capt), Tillakaratne Dilshan, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Lahiru Thirimanne (vice-capt), Dinesh Chandimal, Dimuth Karunaratne, Jeevan Mendis, Thisara Perera, Suranga Lakmal, Lasith Malinga (subject to fitness), Dhammika Prasad, Nuwan Kulasekara, Rangana Herath, Sachithra Senanayake
