The ‘Men in Blue’ defeated arch-rivals Pakistan in the Under-19 World Cup semi-finals by 10 wickets and entered the third straight final of the U19 World Cup. The semi-finale turned out to be a one-sided game as Team India remained on top of the proceedings throughout the game.
Before the match started, Pakistan’s skipper Rohail Nazir won the toss and opted to bat first. Yashasvi Jaiswal turned out to be a surprise package in the match as he not just impressed with his impeccable batting performance but the part-time bowler also impressed everyone with his bowling. The part-time leg-spinner brought a big breakthrough for team India as he dismissed Haider Ali.

During the second innings, the Indian openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Divyaansh Saxena gave a blockbuster performance and shared an unbeaten stand of 176 runs and turned the tables for Team India. Divyaansh Saxena remained unbeaten on 59 runs as India sealed the victory.
