The IPL 2024 is now less than two months away. The IPL 2024 will be the 17th edition of the tournament. The competition is tentatively to start on March 22 and it is expected to conclude by May 25 as the players will then have to take rest and prepare for the T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and USA in June.

The auction took place in December and all 10 teams have improved their squads. However, some of them have injury concerns to their major players.

The senior India pacer battled with ankle pain during the World Cup 2023, but still played throughout the tournament and even finished as the leading wicket-taker. However, since then, he has been out of action as his ankle injury aggravated. He got treatment in India over the past two months. However, he is now learned to be soon flying out for London to consult specialists for his ankle treatment.

Another Gujarat Titans cricketer who is dealing with a major back injury is leg-spinner Rashid Khan. Rashid has not played any cricket since the World Cup as he is recovering from back surgery. He pulled out from the BBL, SA20, and PSL.

Rishabh Pant

Another crucial player on whose injury Mumbai Indians are sweating over is Suryakumar Yadav. Suryakumar had surgery on his groin in Germany on January 17 for a sports hernia. In December he had undergone an ankle injury for an injury he suffered in South Africa. MI fans are hoping that their best batsman is fit in time for the IPL 2024.
