Virat Kohli, who is hailed as the modern-day batting legend, finally ended a long wait of 1020 days as he ended his century drought, reaching the three-figure mark against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup Super 4 match in Dubai. Kohli played a sensational knock of 122 runs off just 61 balls, which is the highest score by a batter in T20Is for India. His knock helped the Indian cricket team post a  mammoth total of 212/2.

Virat Kohli was going through a lengthy lean patch, having had last scored an international century in November 2019 at Eden Gardens against Bangladesh. Kohli looked at his absolute best in the game against Afghanistan as he completed his half-century off 32 balls. He accelerated exceptionally well and registered the triple-figure mark off 53 balls. His stunning knock of 122 runs off 61 balls, was laced with 12 fours and 6 sixes. While his performance has been receiving appreciation from all corners, on the other hand, his post-match presentation has also won many hearts.
