Royal Challengers Bangalore crashed out of the ongoing edition of the tournament when they failed to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in a low-scoring thriller. Williamson and Holder played a cracking partnership between them to repair what seemed like a sunken ship for SRH.
Chennai, on the contrary, was ousted of the tournament with two games to spare and this was the worst season ever for the Yellow Army.
However, both the teams are still Promised Lands for the cricketers. There are a few names that have been fortunate enought to grab an opportunity to play for both the franchises. Despite impressing in the colours of Chennai, they were pedestrian in the colours of Bangalore.

1. Brendon McCullum
Baz played out a few phenomenal knocks for KKR but as soon as he donned on the Yellow jersey, he seemed like an unstoppable force to reckon with, something that is synonymous with the destructive wicket-keeping Kiwi batsman.

However, his purple patch in IPL came for Chennai as he hammered 841 runs from 28 games that saw him smoking a solitary century and five half-centuries.
The former Kiwi skipper’s form dipped again after he joined the ranks of RCB, where he could only garner 127 runs at an average of 21.17, which is below par going by his standards.
2. Pawan Negi
Negi’s meteoric ascent to prominence happened after a resonating season in IPL for Chennai Super Kings. His all-round showdowns were a treat for the eyes as the youngster managed to score at a stormy rate of 158.90 while he also managed to pick up 6 wickets from the 37 overs that he bowled for Dhoni and company.
However, his transition from CSK to RCB wasn’t as kind as it should have been. Still being a part of RCB, Negi has claimed 20 wickets but his batting form has embarked upon a vertiginous descent that saw him only scoring 156 runs from 21 games.
3. Shane Watson
Watson is undoubtedly one of the best players to have ever graced IPL and his enduring legacy will always make others envy of him. The Australian all-rounder has established an empire at Chennai as he managed to smash 1238 runs from 42 games that he has played for the Yellow Army.
However, his days at RCB always were numbered when he could only score 250 runs and claim 25 wickets from 24 matches for the Kohli-led brigade.
4. Albie Morkel
Albie Morkel was one of the most amazing all-rounders to have played in IPL. Not only was he a brilliant bowler that saw him claiming 76 wickets from 78 games but he also scored a staggering 827 runs for the Yellow Army.
Unfortunately, his figures dried up when Morkel could only play 7 matches for them. The Proteas all-rounder could only manage 45 runs at a woeful strike rate of 109.76 and all he could manage with the ball in his hand was four wickets. So much for the continuation of a fairy tell!
5. Shadab Jakati
Jakati was Chennai’s mystery man in the first couple of seasons as he managed 46 wickets from 50 games. He was an extraordinary bowler and made a significant impact with the ball.
Haplessly, in a solitary opportunity that Jakati did manage to get for RCB, all he could manage was a spell of 3.4 overs that saw him spilling 41 runs and never did RCB looked interested in playing this fiasco.
