The ICC World Cup 2023 match between England and South Africa, which took place at the Wankede Stadium, turned out to be a one-sided affair as the Jost Buttler-led side was crumbled by the South African pacers.

In fact, the South African side couldn’t have hoped for a more one-sided game than this. South Africa was asked to bat first and they were exceptional with the bat. Though, the team started off on a poor note as they lost Quinton de Kock (4) early in the innings, however, Rassie van der Dussen (60), Reeza Hendricks (85), and Aiden Markam (42) batted batted amazingly well and steadied the ship for their side.

However, all the spotlight was stolen by Heinrich Klaasen, who displayed immense intent and made sure that he utilized his form to a great extent. Klaasen played some brilliant shots and made sure that his side stayed in the game, even though the wickets fell in quick succession at the other end.

While, Klaasen took the game by storm with the bat, on the other hand, South African bowlers stole the show with the ball. Marco Jansen, Lungi Ngidi, Raba and Gerald Coetzee ran through the batting line-up of the England team.

The final partnership between Mark Wood and Gus Atkinson was the best thing that happened for England throughout the game. The duo kept some respect to the team’s name, not much but a bit of it as the entire batting line-up failed miserably. Eng cricket team was absolutely trashed at the Wankhede tonight.
