Yuzvendra Chahal Shared An Emotional Tweet After Getting Recalled In India’s Squad

Senior India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has been recalled for the ODI series in South Africa on the upcoming all-format tour. However, the 33-year-old Rajasthan Royals leg-spinner couldn’t find a place in the T20I squad.

On Thursday, the BCCI announced squads for all three formats for India’s upcoming tour of South Africa. The South African tour comprises 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs, and 2 Tests from December 10 to January 7.

Yuzvendra Chahal last featured in an ODI match for India in January. He was part of the ODI series in the West Indies in July-August, but didn’t get a chance to play. He was then ignored for the Asia Cup and the World Cup as India went with Kuldeep, Ashwin, and Jadeja in the World Cup.

In the ODI squad for the South Africa series, along with Kuldeep and Chahal, India have picked Axar Patel and Washington Sundar. Sai Sudharsan, Rajat Patidar, and Rinku Singh have got their maiden ODI call-ups.
