Unhappy Indian Fans Are Trolling Hardik Pandya On Twitter

Unhappy Indian Fans Are Trolling Hardik Pandya On Twitter: Ever since Rohit Sharma took over the captaincy responsibility of the Indian cricket team, the Men in Blue have been performing extremely well, especially in the shortest format of the game. They continued their winning streak by defeating West Indies by 4-1 in the 5-match T20I series recently.

Hardik Pandya On Taking Over India’s Captaincy In Future

With the series already in their bag, the BCCI decided to rest Rohit Sharma and give captaincy duties to Hardik Pandya for the fifth and final match of the series. This was the third time that the Indian all-rounder was leading the Indian cricket team in his career. Hardik impressed one and all with his captaincy skills as the Indian side thrashed the Windies in a one-sided contest in Florida by 88 runs.

Though, it is too early to judge Hardik’s leadership qualities but there are many who feel that he can be India’s captain in the future. Before making a comeback on the Indian side and leading the team, Hardik Pandya took his side Gujarat Titans to their maiden IPL title in his first attempt as captain. Fans feel that Hardik is the perfect fit to replace Rohit Sharma as the Indian captain.

Here's why Hardik Pandya is captaining India in place of Rohit Sharma for 5th T20 against WI

But Hardik himself has refrained from saying anything on the matter. Speaking at the post-match presentation after the fifth T20I, Pandya, for the first time opened up on the ongoing discussions about him taking over the Indian captaincy in the future. He said:

“It’s very special feeling to get a chance to lead your country. Obviously than winning the game means a lot to me. Captain Ro (Rohit Sharma) did everything well before this game, so I just ensured that we kept doing the good work.”

He added: “Why not? If given a chance, I’ll be more than happy to do it. But for now, we have a World Cup coming, it’s about getting better as a team,”

However, his statement didn’t go down well with the fans of Rohit Sharma, who are now trolling the all-rounder left, right, and center.
