Tiwary Smashed A Brilliant Century
Talking about his performance, Bengal was in a tricky situation before Manoj Tiwary walked in and stole the show with the bat. The team was 5 down for 54 at one point in time before Tiwary smashed the MP bowlers to all the corners of the ground and propelled the team to 273 runs in the first innings. Bengal’s all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed also scored a century to support Tiwary.
Riding on the centuries of Tiwary and Shahbaz helped Bengal l past Madhya Pradesh’s first innings total of 341 runs. By stumps on Day 3, MP had put 163 runs on the board for the loss of 2 wickets in the second innings. Now Bengal would need to put in a much better effort, both with the bat and the ball in order to emerge victorious in the semi-final.
