Bharat Arun Admitted Two Reasons Behind India’s Poor Run In The World Cup: It’s all over for the Indian cricket team in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2o21. The Virat Kohli-led side, which entered the tournament as the favorites to win it, has been knocked out of the race to the semi-final of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup in the UAE.

India’s chances to qualify for the semi-finals depended heavily on the New Zealand vs Afghanistan clash, which didn’t end up in their favor as Afghanistan lost the game by 8 wickets on Sunday.

Ahead of the New Zealand vs Afghanistan clash on Sunday, India’s bowling coach Bharat Arun admitted two reasons behind India’s poor run at the ongoing T20 World Cup in the UAE. As per Arun Bharat, toss and bio-bubble fatigue were the key reasons behind the defeats.

Echoing the words of Jasprit Bumrah, who had previously talked about how the players have been living in the bio-bubble for the last 6 months.

For the unversed, most of the Indian cricketers in the World Cup squad, including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rishabh Pant among others have been living in the bio-bubble since June when the Indian side reached England for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand. It was followed by 5-Test series against Joe Root’s men. An then the players were transferred into the Indian Premier League (IPL) bio-bubble in the UAE and since then they have been living in a bio-bubble.

Talking about the same, Arun said: “Being on the road for six months is huge ask. Players haven’t gone home and I think they had a short break after the last IPL got suspended.”

He added:

“They have been in a bubble for six months and that takes a huge toll, so specific to your question, may be a short break between IPL and World Cup could have done a lot of good for these boys,”

Further, Bharat Arun also expressed his disappointment over the fact that how toss played a huge and “unfair” role in India’s two defeats in the campaign. Bharat expressed how toss gave an unfair advantage here in the tournament. Explaining his point further, Bharat said:

“Toss played a very, very vital role and I believe in these kind of matches, toss shouldn’t be of any consequence,” he said.

He added: “Here toss gives unfair advantage and there is a huge change in batting in the first innings and batting in the second innings. That shouldn’t be the case in short format like this,”

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team will be playing their final league game against Namibia. This is also the last game of Virat Kohli as the T20 skipper of the Indian cricket team.
