In an incredible turn of events, India rode roughshod over England on the third day of the fourth Test match to flip the tide of the game around in their favour.

It was an excellent display of batting from Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara who dominated almost a couple of sessions after the fall of KL Rahul.

Rohit inflicted the carnage upon the English batters, hacking away in a carefree manner while Pujara played the role of a reposed anchor at the other end.

After a marathon effort of 127 from 256 balls that witnessed Rohit smacking 14 fours and a six, he was finally bested by Ollie Robinson.

As Michael Vaughan previously put it that Sharma will get his first overseas century in this series itself, the Hitman didn’t disappoint as he carved open the English bowling with a rollicking display.

Rohit Sharma managed to chronicle 7 centuries in England that includes today’s Test century. He had smashed 5 centuries in the 2019 World Cup, while he has managed to rack up his T20 century at Bristol.

These seven centuries are actually more than a few significant English monikers namely Eoin Morgan, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Jonathan Trott and Paul Collingwood.

These figures depict the sheer dominance that Sharma has inflicted upon his counterparts with absolute brutality.

India is currently stationed at 270 for the loss of 3. Sharma banged a well-designed 127 while Pujara also powered a brilliant knock.

Once they were removed, Kohli and Jadeja pulled off a decent job to keep the partnership intact unless bad light intervened. India ended the day on 270 for the loss 3, stationed comfortably with a lead of 171 runs.

Sharma’s century will go a long way in defining the ongoing match at the Oval and the bilateral affair that is afoot between India and England.
