After not getting an opportunity to display his batting prowess in the last five games, Chhattisgarh’s Shashank Singh has finally announced his arrival in IPL 2022 arrival for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in a blockbuster way.
Shashank stole all the limelight as he played a terrific knock of six-ball 25 against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the ongoing game at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, April 27. During his sensational knock, he smashed one four and 3 back-to-back sixes
Yes, the right-handed batter, who is aged-30, smashed three sixes off Gujarat Titans’ Lockie Ferguson in the final over to take SRH‘s salary to 195-6 in their allotted 20 overs.

Shashank, who plays for Chhattisgarh, was roped in by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2022 mega auction for the base price of 20 lakhs. He made his List A debut on 10 December 2015 in the 2015–16 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
However, the journey hasn’t been easy for the 30-year-old cricketer as he had to wait a long time. Before SRH, he was bought by Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) for the 2017 Indian Premier League for 10 lakhs in IPL 2017. Later, in 2018, he was bought by Rajasthan Royals in the 2019 Indian Premier League player auction. In the same month, he made his first-class debut for Chhattisgarh in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy.
Meanwhile, fans on social media were left in awe of the brilliant performance of Shashank Singh. From cricketers and experts to fans, people came up with amazing reactions while hailing the batting prowess of Shashank.

Extremely proud of Shashank Singh. Has worked hard to get this opportunity. Year after year he has impressed at IPL selection trials. Was part of DC & RR previously but didn’t get a game. This year he played some decisive knocks for Chhatisgarh. Happy to see Shashank’s progress
