Twitterati Reacts After KL Rahul Pulled Off A ‘Kohli’ After Umpire Gave ‘Not Out’

The journey of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League came to an end for Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab as they both indulged in their last game of the Indian Premier League. CSK won their last game of the season by shattering the hopes of KL Rahul led KXIP for entering the playoffs.

Though, it was a perfect game for the Super Kings, but Rahul looked visibly upset with a few decisions during the game. KL was also seen pulling off Kohli by confronting the umpire about the decision.

The incident took place on the fifth delivery of Ravi Bishnoi’s second over when Ruturaj Gaikwad stepped down the wicket to hit the leg-spinner over covers. However, the shot went straight to the fielder. Mandeep Singh dove in front to take the catch and the team started celebrating the wicket.

However, the on-field umpire sent the decision to the third umpire to check if the catch was clean with them giving the soft signal of ‘out’. After a series of replays, the third umpire dismissed the catch as he felt that the ball had touched the ground and gave a ‘not out’ to the batsman.

Disappointed with the decision, Rahul looked upset and went on to confront the on-field umpire about his decision. There he pulled off a ‘Kohli-like’ incident and the fans were quick enough to notice the same.

Later on, KL Rahul got rid of Faf du Plessis as he took his catch and then raised his hands in the air to signal the third umpire that he had taken the catch cleanly this time, taking a dig at his previous decision.
