Ever since India has lost the test series to South Africa, a lot has been said about Virat Kohli’s captaincy and his selection of the playing XI. Even though Virat hit a brilliant century at The Centurion, he was still under scrutiny for his captaincy and aggression.
What worsened things, even more, was the incident wherein the Indian captain lashed on to a journalist in a post-match press conference after the second test. Since then Kohli and his captaincy have been in news for all the wrong reason.
SMITH QUESTIONED VIRAT KOHLI’s CAPTAINCY
Recently the former South African captain, Graeme Smith took a dig at Kohli for his captaincy. Smith questioned the future of Virat Kohli as the captain of the Indian side and said that he does not feel that Virat Kohli would stay the captain in the longer run.
Smith said

Here is what Sourav Ganguly said
“There is a lot of talking going around about Virat Kohli’s leadership qualities. It is important to be patient as this is his first big overseas tour. Nobody really is a born leader and it is important that the leaders are allowed to develop and grow. I am convinced that Kohli will be getting better at this. It is very important that as a leader you keep performing- that is the biggest challenge and this is where Kohli has done remarkably well. There is no doubt that he is and will continue to be a very good captain.”
