Hardik Pandya won many hearts in India with his aggressive and passionate performance in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017, against Pakistan. Pakistan outplayed India in all three departments of the game and Hardik Pandya was the only Indian cricketer who made some kind of an impact in the game.

Pakistan dominated the match right from the first hour of the match and didn’t allow India to find any kind of momentum. Pakistani batters played aggressively and smashed Indian bowlers all around the park. In reply, India’s top-order batsmen struggled against Mohammed Amir and lost 5 wickets for less than 60 runs. But, there was one Indian batsman who stood tall and gave some hope to the fans– Hardik Pandya.

Pandya smashed 76 runs off just 43 balls, smashing 6 gigantic sixes and 4 fours. With his clean and hard hitting, he gave the stunned Indian fans in a capacity crowd something to cheer as he hit three sixes off successive balls to bring up a memorable fifty.

Pandya’s performance was applauded by cricket fans across India. On Twitter, many celebrities, who were watching the game, showered praises on Pandya for his brave lionhearted performance.
