Ishant Sharma’s funny expressions

S Sreesanth’s dance

In the 2006 series in South Africa, Sreesanth had come to bat out the last wicket and Andre Nel was the bowler he faced. Nel went up to Sreesanth and pointed to the SA badge and provoked the batsman. Sreesanth hit the next ball for six and performed one of the most bizarre and funniest dances – rotating his bat and swaying his hips.

Kumar Sangakkara’s “gentle” sledging

In the 2003 World Cup, Shaun Pollock, the then captain of South Africa came in to bat against the Lankans. Sangakkara, with his voice audible in the stump mic was heard saying things like, “Pressure on the captain, now, will he cope up with the weight of all the expectations,” in a funny attempt to get under Pollock’s skin.

Virat Kohli stares at Brad Haddin

Brad Haddin, the Australian keeper had come in to bat in a test against India and Virat Kohli walked up t just around 5 metres from him and kept staring at the batsman. The incident is funny because Haddin was unresponsive and Kohli just stood his ground without budging.

Off your glove, mate

In a test match between the Indians and the Aussies, Mohammed Kaif was caught by Gilchrist behind the stumps in a ball that seemed to have flicked his glove. He was adjudged not out and a charged up Gilly can be heard saying on the mic to Kaif, “That was off your glove, mate, you know it.”
