ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Team India have started their ICC Champions Trophy 2017 campaign and they are working hard to defend their title, which they won in 2013 under the leadership of MS Dhoni.
India played their first warmup game of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 against New Zealand and won the match with ease. Indian bowlers showed great skills and troubled the Kiwi batters on a good batting wicket.
Ahead of the their second warm-up game against Bangladesh, Team India participated in a net session and all the batsmen including Rohit Sharma and Kedar Jadhav, who didn’t play the first warmup match against New Zealand, participated in it.
Gurucharan Singh, 28, who plays for Middlesex, has been a brilliant net bowler for visiting teams. Gurcharan bowled to almost every Indian batsman and he was very impressed with their technique and preparation.
When asked about his opinion on Indian batsmen, Gurcharan said that are all good and that is they are what they are.
“They are all good and that is why they are what they are,” Gurcharan was quoted as saying by crictracker.com.
He was also asked to name the best Indian batsman and he gave a surprising reply. Ignoring the likes of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Ajinkya Rahane and others, Gurcharan named Kedar Jadhav as the most impressive batsman in India’s batting unit.

Jadhav impressed one and all with his gutsy display of batting in the ODI series against England earlier this year. He batted in the lower middle-order and scored a couple of hundreds. The ICC Champions Trophy 2017 is probably the biggest moment of Jadhav’s career and he would be desperate to go out in the middle and show his talent. Jadhav is also a very handy off-spinner. His services were used extensively during the England series by India.
