Hardik Pandya Invented A New Shot During His Record-Breaking Innings

The Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is having a great time in the ongoing DY Patil T20 Cup. Hardik, who last played for the Indian cricket team during the T20 International series against South Africa, has finally returned back to competitive cricket after undergoing back surgery.

After returning from the surgery Hardik Pandya was pulled out of India A team’s tour of New Zealand after he failed to clear the mandatory fitness test in Mumbai. However, the cricketer was picked in the playing XI by the selectors for the Ranji Trophy matches without giving any fitness Test. And the all-rounder has marked his return in style.
The fans are thrilled after seeing the Mumbai Indians star player back in action. He has made a stellar comeback into the game as he has been giving back-to-back brilliant performances for his team Reliance 1 in the ongoing DY Patil T20 Cup.

He has once again impressed one and all not just with his impeccable batting skills but also his bowling skills and has proved the fact that he is one of the best all-rounders of the current generation. In the group stage clash, Hardik Pandya helped his team Reliance 1 register a 101 run win against CAG at the RCP Stadium in Ghansoli, by smashing 105 off 39 balls and picking five wickets conceding only 26 runs.
In the final for Reliance 1 today against BPCL, Hardik Pandya played a match-winning knock and went on to slam the highest individual T20 score for India with his destructive batting. Pandya smashed 20 humongous sixes and just six fours in his record-breaking innings. He remained unbeaten on 158 off just 55 balls.
Though he smashed many brilliant sixes throughout his innings, there was this one six that stood out from all of them. During his record-breaking innings, Hardik Pandya was facing Shivam Dube of BPCL in the 18th over of the match while batting on 119 in 43 balls. Pandya was standing on a middle guard when Shivam Dube decided to go wide on the offside.
Hardik Pandya smashed the Shivam Dube’s delivery by quickly moving outside off stump and depositing it over covers for six almost standing on one leg. The video of the same has gone viral on social media and has left the cricket fans mesmerized.
