Ricky Ponting Ignored MS Dhoni In His ‘Best Team Of Decade’ And Desi Twitterati Are Trolling Him

What a spectacular decade it has been for the Indian cricket team. Leaving a few instances, Indian cricketers dominated the world cricket and shined throughout the decade. As the decade is ending, many prominent institutions, websites, and cricketers are coming up with their ‘best XI of the decade’ in all the three formats of the game. Ricky Ponting, the former Australian cricketer, also came up with the Best Test XI of the decade’.

In his Best test XI of the decade, Ricky named Virat Kohli as the skipper of the team. Shockingly, he is the only Indian who could make it up to Ricky Ponting’s list of best XI.

David Warner and Alastair Cook have been named as the openers in Ponting’s list. The Australians are followed by Kane Williamson on number 3 and Steve Smith on number 4. Virat Kohli, the captain of the team is at number 5 in Ricky Ponting’s list.

Virat is followed by Kumar Sangakkara, who is given the responsibility of wicket-keeping. For the all-rounder, Ponting has picked Ben Stokes. Dale Steyn, Stuart Broad, and James Anderson will be the pacers in the team, while Nathan Lyon will be leading the spin attack.

Here, check out the tweet of Ricky Ponting:

Well, the list didn’t go down well with the Indian fans, obviously. Twitterati are trolling Ricky Ponting left, right and center for picking only one Indian in his team. MS Dhoni’s fans are also not happy with Ricky Ponting picking Kumar Sangakkara over MS Dhoni for wicket-keeping responsibility.

Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:
