For the forthcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which begins on March 31, MS Dhoni has returned to the Chennai Super Kings’ training facility. Fans are more excited to have a peek of the athlete performing on the field as he continues to train for the T20 event. Fans seldom ever get to watch their favourite player because Dhoni has already ended his international career and is not active on social media.

Due to COVID restrictions, Dhoni will play his first IPL match in Chennai after a three-year hiatus, and the crowd is ecstatic. All the teams have begun preparing for the IPL, which starts on March 31.

The schedule for the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) has been released, with the opening game between Chennai Super Kings against Gujarat Titans. The IPL will once again be contested in a home-and-away format this time.

There is a sizable fan base for MS Dhoni in Chennai. With the release of the IPL 2023 schedule, Matthew Hayden, a former Australia opener, spoke on Star Sports on the reception CSK captain MS Dhoni will receive when he returns to the field at Chepauk after nearly three years.

“It will be an amazing moment. I think last year, we were all under the impression that will MSD come back again. At the close of the IPL season, he made that huge comment to say that he will be back. Now, what that means for all that Yellow Army is that Chennai suddenly galvanized a tad around the superior leader, who has done it for so long. This will, most certainly, I think, be the close of his IPL career. So, those few games at the start are not only going to be key for the fans, his performance is also going to be key for CSK this season,” Hayden said.
