Even Umpire Couldn’t Control His Laughter After Rohit Sharma’s DRS Call: The Australian batting line-up gave a tough time to the Indian bowling attack which had the likes of Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin in the ongoing fourth and final Test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. This bowling unit is not used to staying wicketless for long at home. However, the ongoing game turned out to be a complete contrast in this regard.
First Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith and then Khawja and Cameron Green kept the Indian bowlers in check. As a result, the Rohit Sharma-led side had to cope with two wicketless sessions so far on the best batting track of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Infact, the Indian side was getting so desperate that it forced them to do weird things.
Yes, Usman Khawaja’s long stand of 180 runs resulted in some desperate yet weird decision from the Rohit Sharma led Indian team.

Khawaja was effectively restrained by Jadeja, who bowled wide outside the off stump from over the wicket. That smacked him much outside the line of the stumps, but Khawaja was not offering a shot, so Jadeja and the close-in fielders resisted the urge to appeal. Umpire Richard Kettleborough quickly put an end to the commotion.
But Jadeja being Jadeja, as he has done so often in the series, somehow managed to convince captain Rohit to take the DRS.
The decision to take review was so bad that even the umpire laughed off at them. Yes, the video of the same has been going viral on the internet, watch it here:

After the horrific review, the commentary box, which included Matthew Hayden, Dinesh Karthik, and Ravi Shastri, poked fun at the decision as well.
“They (India) wanted to check whether the third umpire was awake,” said Karthik.
Meanwhile, the Australian pair remained unbeaten as the visitors ended the session close to the 350-run mark with Khawaja 150*(354) and Green 95*(135) at the crease.
