The 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League is just around the corner. IPL 2023 is all set to kickstart on March 31 when reigning champion Gujarat Titans takes on Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.

1. Rishabh Pant

2. Jasprit Bumrah:

The five-time IPL champs Mumbai Indians will be without the services of their star bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who has been one of the main keys to success for the franchise in the past few years. Jasprit has been ruled out of this year’s IPL due to a back injury and will undergo surgery soon. MI has not announced any replacement for Bumrah and in his absence, sensational Jofra Archer will lead the pace attack of the franchise.

3. Shreyas Iyer:

Shreyas Iyer who was bought by the KKR management for a whopping price of INR 11.00 crores in the IPL 2022 mega auction was handed the captaincy of the side. While the side performed well under his leadership, however, they couldn’t reach the playoffs stage of the tournament. Meanwhile, Iyer has been ruled out of the upcoming edition of the IPL as he suffered issues in his back during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. KKR has not anounced any captaincy or player replacement for Iyer.

4. Prasidh Krishna:

Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the IPL 2023 as he recently went through surgery for a lumbar stress fracture in his spine. He was picked up by Rajasthan Royals in the 2022 auction for INR 10 crore. He picked 19 wickets off 17 matches in the previous edition of the IPL. Sandeep Sharma has been named as his replacement by RR.
