IPL 2023: As the upcoming 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League is just around the corner, the injury list of players is increasing. The much-awaited tournament has been marred by injuries and this year is no different. Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals are the two teams that are badly hurt as two key players from MI and three players from DC are injured.

Ahead of the 2023 season, DC seems to be the most affected team so far, in terms of injured players. Three of their key players are recovering from the injuries. Their captain Rishabh Pant suffered a horrific car accident and had suffered multiple injuries last year. Besides him, Anrich Nortje and Sarfaraz Khan are the other two players who are currently nursing injuries.
Chennai Super Kings:
The MS Dhoni-led side has also suffered a setback as their star player Ben Stokes has been ruled out because of a knee injury. Ben Stokes was bought by Chennai Super Kings in the auction ahead of the Indian Premier League 2023.
Punjab Kings, who finished sixth in the previous edition of the IPL, is currently looking for a replacement for Jonny Bairstow, who broke his left leg and dislocated his ankle on September 2 last year while playing golf.
The five-time IPL champs, MI have also been hit hard by injuries. Their star bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who is suffering from a back injury, has been ruled out of the tournament. Jhye Richardson is also ruled out because of a hamstring injury.
Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore:
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals’ star player Prasidh Krishna is also recovering from a stress fracture injury. Kolkata Knight Riders’ captain Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the tournament because of his back injury.
