IPL Anil Kumble

Recently, in an interview, former Indian Test skipper and legendary spinner Anil Kumble was asked a tough question about the undisputed G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) of the IPL to date.

Answering the question, Kumble ignored two of the most successful IPL skippers – Rohit and MS  and also Kohli, who is the highest run-scorer in IPL history. Instead, Kumble decided to go with a former Punjab Kings batter as the greatest of all time.

Kumble picked none other than legendary West Indies batter Chris Gayle. He said:

“There are plenty of them; it’s difficult to pick just one. I can certainly look back and say probably a Chris Gayle, someone who is larger than life. The way he came across as a player! What he brought to RCB and the way he sorts of changed the whole powerplay and the power he brought to batting.”
