The WTC Final 2023 is just around the corner, and both India and Australia are awaiting the epic clash that will see them fight for the ultimate prize in Test cricket.
The WTC Final 2023 will kick-start on June 7 at The Oval Stadium in London.
Virat Kohli will be at the centre of attention of Australia’s plans as the two teams approach the World Test Championship Final 2023. The Aussie bowlers and management will be devising multiple plans to dismiss India’s kingpin.
Australia are set to unleash their famed bowling attack of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Hazlewood/Boland, and Nathan Lyon. Except for Boland, the rest of the Aussie bowlers have had plenty of taste of Kohli, who has dominated their likes over the past decade, both at home and away.
Virat has taken the Australian bowlers to a liking: he has scored 1979 runs in 24 Tests against Australia at an average of 48, including five fifties and 8 centuries with a highest score of 186.
If Australia can get a couple of early wickets, Starc will have a go at Virat. However, Starc’s record against Kohli is quite underwhelming.
Virat Kohli vs Mitchell Starc in Test cricket:

Virat has dominated Starc in Test cricket: over 14 Test matches, Kohli averages a whopping 73 against Starc having scored 219 runs off the left-arm Aussie pacer and has been dismissed only three times by Starc.
These numbers are from the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series where Kohli has been a difficult batter to get out for Starc.
He would want to finally dismiss Kohli cheaply for once and give Australia an upper hand. In the English conditions, the left-arm speedster might get the assistance he requires to topple India’s main man.
Their head-to-head record in white-ball cricket too favors Kohli. In ODIs, Virat Kohli averages a mammoth 110 against Starc and has been dismissed only once; Starc has never dismissed Kohli in T20Is.
