The chatter between India star Virat Kohli and West Indies wicket-keeper Joshua Da Silva went viral during the former’s batting period in the ongoing second Test match in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

Among the plenty of stuff both discussed as funny banter, Joshua was heard mentioning that his mother had come to the ground to watch Kohli bat. This had eked out a hearty laughter from Kohli as he approached his century.

Things took an even more interesting turn when Joshua’s mother met Kohli when the Indian team arrived at the Queen’s Park Oval ground ahead of Day 2. It was an emotional moment for Joshua’s mother who looked happy. She put a soft peck on the cheek of Kohli and hugged the India star. She was thrilled.

After the meeting, when speaking with journalist Vimal Kumar, Joshua Da Silva’s mother broke into emotional tears. This video of the meeting and Da Silva’s mother in tears went viral on social media with fans hailing Virat Kohli for the respect he’s earned across the globe.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli equaled Don Bradman’s tally of 29 Test hundreds. This was his 76th international century, and he’s only behind Sachin Tendulkar‘s tally of 100 hundreds. This was also Kohli’s first overseas century after a gap of more than 4 years.

There were more runs for the taking for Kohli, but unfortunately, he got run out on 121 runs from 206 balls, his patient-filled innings including 11 fours.

Earlier, both India openers, Rohit (80) and Jaiswal (57), recorded fifties, so did later on, Jadeja (61) and Ashwin (56), taking India to 438.

In reply, West Indies have lost one wicket, that of opener Tagenarine Chanderpaul to Jadeja. At stumps on Day 2, West Indies are 86/1, trailing by 352 runs.
