Cricketing venues don’t get more beautiful, scenic, and elevated from sea level (altitude of 1,457 meters (4,780 feet)) than the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala.

Fans will get to visit this stadium in the World Cup 2023 as five matches are scheduled to be played at this iconic ground, including the India vs New Zealand encounter on October 22, Sunday. After the WC 2023, Dharamshala will also host an India-England Test in March next year.

The outfield in the stadium was relaid earlier this year and it also hosted IPL 2023Â matches. The stadium has a seating capacity of around 23,000 fans.
The WC 2023 will kick-start from October 5 with England taking on New Zealand in a repeat of the 2019 World Cup final. Dharamsala will host its first game on October 7, between Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
The second game at this breathtaking venue will be between England and Bangladesh; the third game here will be of South Africa vs Netherlands, followed by the India vs New Zealand encounter. And the fifth and last game in Dharamsala will be between Australia and New Zealand on October 28.
