AB de Villiers is one of the most destructive batsmen in the history of the game. Over the years, we have seen AB de Villiers try new things with his willow and play some of the outrageous match winning-innings for South Africa and many T20 franchises across the world.

Although, AB de Villiers hasn’t been in the best of form off late, but he is still capable of doing unbelievable things on a cricket field with his bat. On his day, he can make a mockery of any bowling attack and make them look very ordinary.

There are many T20 specialists who travel around the world play cricket in domestic T20 leagues. But, whenever we talk about making an impact in T20 cricket with the bat, AB de Villiers’ name comes in the top bracket, with the likes of Chris Gayle and Brendon McCullum.

In the Indian Premier League, AB de Villiers is one of the most loved foreign cricketers. Every year, fans, specially Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fans come out in numbers to see De Villiers’ batting.

He is a class act and, arguably, the most entertaining batsman in the world. He plays some of the most unbelievable strokes and that manner in which he scores his runs is very entertaining to watch for the fans inside the stadium and all those watching on their television screens.

According to reports in Daily Telegraph, Sydney Thunder are likely to rope in South Africa’s ace batsman AB de Villiers as Andre Russell’s replacement, who was banned for  one year after being found guilty of a doping whereabouts violation and had his contract terminated by Sydney Thunder immediately.

Now, it will be interesting to see whether AB de Villiers skips the home Test series against India and to play in the Big Bash League (BBL) or he gives more preference to Test cricket and ignores the lucrative BBL offer.
