Speaking on Star Sports, Ambati Rayudu said: “It’s Rohit’s call at the end of the day wherever he would want to go, he can go. All the teams would love him and have him as a captain for sure. It’s Rohit’s call. I’m sure he’ll go to a franchise which treats him better than what has happened here (Mumbai Indians),”Β 

Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians‘ top scorer, has amassed 118 runs in four matches this season with an impressive strike rate of 171.01. However, MI is eager for a standout performance from him to turn around their sluggish start.

Currently, Mumbai is sitting in the 8th position in the points table with just one win in four matches. After three consecutive losses, they secured a victory against Delhi Capitals. Their next match is against Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium, where they hope for better performances from key players like Rohit, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, and captain Hardik.
