An Open Letter To All The Virat Kohli And RCB Fans Who Attacked Shubman Gill’s Sister

Dear so-called fans of Virat Kohli, who trolled Shubman Gill’s sister,

So with all the brains that you had, the best idea to see a legend bowing out of the IPL was to attack another rising sensation’s sister? Wow. We are spellbound and have no words. Is that what you have been taught? Is this what love for your favourite athlete who has been preaching peace and growth over the years told you?

It was sad that Virat Kohli couldn’t get his team across the line and it is completely normal. But then at the end of the day how does that permit you from going personal with someone’s sister or in that case any of his family? Shubman Gill is a rising sensation and believe this or not but he is the next big thing in Indian cricket.

Shubman Gill

The man who took the Australian bowling mafia back in Gabba head on and pummelled them to agony, the man who is being glorified all across the globe, the man who is being seen as the successor of Virat Kohli, the man who has already been piling up those records even before you would know, how dare you attack his family?

To what crazy level does the jingoism stoop and until which extent can you bow? At the end of the day, you are soiling your own nation’s players and their families? Do you think your parents have been overtly proud of what you did? Do you think Virat Kohli would approve this action if he was under the influence of any drugs? No, sir, he wouldn’t.

Virat looks at Shubman as his younger brother and know this that a few days ago, he was seen sharing tips with the youngster. The kind of batting that Shubman Gill has knitted together in IPL 2023, do you think even an iota of players in the league can come close to that?

Well, this is not a question of numbers. This is a question of integrity, of behaving yourself. Let’s say today you get a chance for the Indian cricket team or RCB and somehow you fluff it. How would you feel if the same words are being thrown at your own? I am sure the answer would be awaited by all.

It is a pity that your parents have to bear the shame in the form of you. Shahneel, believe me your brother is a gem and so are you in your respective ways. The monsters crossed a line and we Indian fans and Virat Kohli fans would never do anything of such shame. So anything that has been said, we seek apology for the same and we promise that you are safe and no one would ever dare to do this again.

Shubman, we apologise to you as well and believe us, you are a very rare gem and India is fortunate enough to have you open the innings. Fly high and let all these idiots wallow in their self-centred pity.

Yours sincerely,

A crazy fan of Virat Kohli
