Virat Kohli, who rested for the last 3 weeks and didn’t play in the just concluded tour of the West Indies. He is rested for the upcoming series against Zimbabwe as well.
Virat’s current form has been a topic of discussion after a poor IPL season, which was followed by a dry run with the bat as he struggled to score runs in the series against England.
In the Asia Cup, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team will kickstart their campaign with a high-octane game against the arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening match on August 28th. Virat will complete a unique century. Kohli will become only the second player to have played 100 matches in all the formats of the game. The first player to have achieved this feat is former New Zealand cricketer Ross Taylor, who recently announced his retirement.
