The Ben Stokes-led side ran riot in the final session on Day 5 of the final Ashes 2023 Test match as the hosts defeated the Australian cricket team by 49 runs at Kennington Oval in London.
It was a dream end to Stuart Broad‘s career as he finally picked a wicket in his final Test match to help the England cricket team win the last Ashes 2023 Test match. He scalped two wickets as Australia’s second innings got folded for 334 in the 384-run chase. While it was the end of a great career for Stuart Broad, it was also an end of a great effort by the Australians in the series.
England finished the Ashes 2023 with a 2-2 scoreline, with Pat Cummins-led Australia winning the first two Tests.

Talking about the game, the day started with Chris Woakes removing both the Australian openers – David Warner and Usman Khawaja, who stitched a 14-run opening stand. Mark Wood then dismissed Marnus Labuschagne for 13, reducing England to 169/3.
Steve Smith and Travis Head then tried to bring back the momentum by adding 95 runs for the fourth wicket. However, England dictated the proceedings in the final session, after a rain delay happened.
Woakes and Moeen Ali both gave a hard time to the Australian batters as they lost four wickets in the span of 11 runs. Woakes finished the innings with four wickets, while Moeen picked 3 wickets.
Meanwhile, as England made a brilliant comeback and won the game by defeating Australia, fans on social media went berserk and came up with amazing reactions to it. Several cricketers and experts also joined the bandwagon and came up with amazing reactions.

Congratulations to Australia and England on a fantastic series 👏🏻👏🏻 I guess the lesson here is there's no one way to play cricket. As long as you get the job done. #Ashes pic.twitter.com/mVEeqz60mv

From being 2-0 down to drawing level, England's tenacity in this #Ashes series is a tribute to the beauty of Test cricket. The ability to rebound demonstrates the depth of character and the mental fortitude this format demands. Mother Nature might have denied us a series result,… pic.twitter.com/oOn9XgV6BC

Let me present the perfect script to you:"l
"Stuart Broad announces his retirement."
"He remains not out, and the last ball he faces in test cricket is a six."
"He takes the final wicket to win an Ashes test."
"Only someone like Nolan could come up with this."#Ashes pic.twitter.com/wbMsw9iNNv

The two most-booed Australian cricketers of the series in the middle now. It’s only apt that the last stand of defence for the visitors in this series is the pair of Alex Carey and Pat Cummins #Ashes

In all fairness, Australia will be a touch fortunate to get away with a 2-2 draw. Cummins will take it, given his Captaincy struggles against the English batting approach.
A series loss wasn't fair on England, for their efforts in the series. 2-2 is a fair result.#Ashes pic.twitter.com/E9j1V34IME

What a series, what a sport, what a six weeks of tension headaches, of brilliant cricket, of shit cricket, of very funny cricket, of insane opinions, of protesters being carried off and catches that weren’t and stumpings that were. No better sport in the world. #Ashes pic.twitter.com/rSQWhk2Hc1
