Yashasvi Jaiswal, the promising Indian cricketer, has been making waves with his exceptional performances in the Test arena. In the ongoing series against England, he has showcased his talent brilliantly, accumulating a total of 545 runs in just six innings at an impressive average of 109 runs per inning. His remarkable performances include two double centuries and a half-century.

Yashasvi Has Impressed One And All

Jaiswal’s outstanding displays have earned him widespread praise from fans and cricketing legends alike. His remarkable talent and prowess on the field have left everyone impressed and talking about his potential as a future star in the sport.

3 Reasons Why Yashasvi Jaiswal Will Be An Excellent Opener Even In Overseas Tests Too

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s remarkable performance in the Test series against England saw him scoring consecutive double centuries in Vizag and Rajkot, with scores of 209 and 214* respectively.

Currently, he needs only 139 more runs to reach the milestone of 1000 runs in Test cricket. If he achieves this milestone in the ongoing Test in Ranchi, he will become the fastest Indian batsman and the second-fastest globally to reach 1000 runs in Test cricket.

Chris Gayle Compared Yashasvi Jaiswal To Shivnarine Chanderpaul

Former West Indies cricket star Chris Gayle recently praised Yashasvi Jaiswal for his outstanding performance against England. Gayle expressed his admiration for Jaiswal’s skills, suggesting that the young player looks like he has been in the game for two decades. He likened Jaiswal’s aggressive style to that of his former West Indies teammate Shivnarine Chanderpaul.

Gayle encouraged Jaiswal to continue playing aggressively, emphasizing that it’s a key aspect of his game. Known for his own aggressive batting style, Gayle is widely regarded as one of the best left-handed batsmen in cricket history. Chris Gayle said:

“It’s like the guy (Yashasvi Jaiswal) has been playing for 20 years, unbelievable. I just hope he can keep it up. He reminds me a lot of Shivnarine Chanderpaul, a more attacking version of him. A lot will be expected of him as he goes on but they should just let him continue to flow. He’s an attacking player, you see that in his T20 cricket as well…That’s in his nature as well and they shouldn’t try to curb him or try to change him,”
