Gujarat Titans’ young opener Shubman Gill impressed one and all with his batting heroics in the just-concluded 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. He was sensational throughout the season, as he played many match-winning/changing knocks, because of which he was also awarded the Man of the Series award.

Well, the IPL “MOS” award is given to a player with the most impactful performances throughout the season.

Here, in this article, we bring you a complete list of IPL ‘MoS’ award winners in the Indian Premier League, over all the years. Have a look:

IPL 2023 – Shubman Gill:

Shubman Gill won the MOS award for top scoring for his side Gujarat Titans, with 890 runs at a strike rate of 157.8.

2022 – Jos Buttler:

England captain and RR player Jos Buttler won the MOS award in 2022. He was in a red-hot avatar in that season, where he amassed 863 runs at a strike rate of 149.05.

2021 – Harshal Patel:

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s star bowler Harshal Patel won the MOS award in 2021 season. He picked 32 wickets at a strike rate of 10.56 and an economy of 8.14.

2020 – Jofra Archer:

England’s star pacer Jofra Archer won the MOS award for his performances for Rajasthan Royals. He picked up 20 wickets in that season and also scored 113 runs.

2019 – Andre Russell:

KKR’s star all-rounder Andre Russell wn the MOS award in the year 2019. He scored 510 runs with the bat and also picked up 11 wickets. This was the second time he won this award.

2018 – Sunil Narine:

Another KKR superstar Sunil Narine grabbed the Man of the Series award in 2018. He scored 357 runs and picked up 17 wickets. This was the second time he won this award.

2017 – Ben Stokes:

England’s star all-rounder Ben Stokes won the Man of the Series award in the year 2017 for his performances for Rising Pune Supergiant. He picked up 12 wickets and amassed 316 runs.

2016 – Virat Kohli:

Batting superstar Virat Kohli rocked the world with his blockbuster performances for his side in the year 2016. He amassed 973 runs, which is also the highest run tally by any player in a single season of the Indian Premier League.

2015 – Andre Russell:

Andre Russell received his first Man of the Series award in the year 2015. He picked up 14 wickets and scored 326 runs with the bat in that season.

2014 – Glenn Maxwell:

Australia’s star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell had a stellar season with Punjab Kings in 2014, scoring 552 runs and picking up 1 wicket. He won the Man of the Series award in that season.

2013 – Shane Watson:

Shane Watson won the Man of the Series award in the year 2013 for his amazing performances for Rajasthan Royals. He amassed 543 runs and also picked up 13 wickets in that season.

2012 – Sunil Narine:

KKR’s star all-rounder Sunil Narine won the award in 2012 for taking 24 wickets in a season.

2011 – Chris Gayle:

The Universe Boss, Chris Gayle, has been one of the biggest entertainers in the IPL history. He won the Man of the Series award in the year 2011. He scored 608 runs with the bat and also picked up 8 wickets.

2010 – Sachin Tendulkar:

India’s batting legend Sachin Tendulkar won the Man of the Series award in the year 2010. He scored 618 runs with the bat for his team Mumbai Indians.

2009 – Adam Gilchrist:

The legend, Adam Gilchrist won the Man of the Series award in the year 2009 for scoring 495 runs for Deccan Chargers.

2008 – Shane Watson:

Shane Watson won his first Man of the Series award in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League as well. He scored 472 runs with the bat and picked up 17 wickets in the first edition of the IPL.
