Deepak Chahar seems to can’t get a break with injuries. Unfortunately, the 14 crore CSK signing has suffered another injury setback as he walked off the field after bowling only the first over of CSK’s third IPL 2023 match, against Mumbai Indians, at the Wankhede.
Deepak Chahar seems to have sustained a hamstring injury during the match against Mumbai Indians.
The 30-year-old seamer had dealt with a back injury and a side strain injury in the past year and had missed the entire IPL 2022, ahead of which, in the IPL 2022 mega-auction, CSK had bought him for INR 14 crore.
CSK’s 14 crore buy Deepak Chahar missed entire IPL 2022

Now, having recovered from a back injury and a side strain injury, Deepak Chahar seems to have suffered a hamstring injury while bowling his first over against Mumbai Indians, in which he was smashed for two fours by MI captain Rohit Sharma.

In the first two matches of IPL 2023, Deepak Chahar bowled 8 wicketless overs for 84 runs. This new hamstring injury could end his IPL 2023 campaign, though an update on the extent of the injury is awaited.
Fans trolled and lamented the injury travesty that Deepak Chahar has been going through over the past year and now as well the Agra-born seamer can’t get over his body.
Here are some of the reactions of fans on Deepak Chahar’s latest hamstring injury:

We basically threw away two IPL seasons because we made one big error in the mega auction – buying Chahar for 14 CR.
That's how ruthless the IPL is.

It's time to think beyond Deepak chahar, His injury concerns will ruin this club.
Sorry If I am harsh but it's just out of tolerance.

Chahar injured. Lol.
Feel bad for him, but investing 14 CR on him is the worst decision my club has ever made.

If Chahar isn't fit to come back into the game.. We are forced to bring in Hangargerkar
Which makes out batting VERY LIGHT, as we are already without Stokes and Ali.
What a day for the all the misfortune to happen 🥲#MIvsCSK #IPL2023
