” Will feel very proud” – Dhruv Jurel’s Epic Reaction After Being Dismissed By MS Dhoni

Dhruv Jurel’s Epic Reaction After Being Dismissed By MS Dhoni: The Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals did a double on Chennai Super Kings earlier this week as they registered a 32-run win over the 4-times IPL champs in Jaipur. The Royals had earlier registered a 3-run win against the Super Kings in their clash at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The side produced an even better performance in Jaipur.

After posting a total of 202/5 in 20 overs, batting first, Rajasthan Royals displayed a stunning bowling performance to restrict the CSK to 170/6.

Dhruv Jurel Was Dismissed By MS Dhoni

Meanwhile, Royals batter Dhruv Jurel has been one of the finds of the ongoing season as the Indian batter has taken up the role of finisher for the IPL champions with ease. During the game against Super Kings, Jurel produced a stunning cameo of 34 runs off just 15 deliveries as RR posted a total of 202 runs.

The CSK batters struggled to find rhythm on the day and the run chase came to an end at 170 for six, handing RR a well-deserved win. Jurel was run out in the final over of the game, courtesy of a direct hit from MS Dhoni.

While Dhoni’s epic throw went viral on the internet, Jurel’s reaction to being dismissed from a direct hit from the legendary wicketkeeper-batter has now won everyone’s hearts. In a video posted by Rajasthan Royals on their official YouTube account, Jurel talked about the throw  and said:

“When I will have a look a at the scorecard after 20 years, and when it says that Dhoni sir ran me out, I will feel very proud. My name would be up there, and next to it would be Dhoni sir’s name. And that’s enough for me!”

Earlier, speaking at the post-match conference, Jurel said he was fortunate to share the field with his childhood idol MS Dhoni and didn’t feel any pressure batting in front of him. He said:

“I am fortunate enough to share the same field with Dhoni sir. I have been seeing him playing since I was a child. I don’t feel any pressure. On the other hand, it serves like a motivation. I am motivated knowing that he is standing behind me and watching me. That is enough for me,”

He added: “This [finisher’s] is the spot that was given by the management, so I practice like that. I doesn’t feel like I have less amount of balls and I have to score big runs. I have practiced enough that I have to hit six for every ball.”

“I do three-four hours of batting every day, making sure I am getting something from my batting. My mantra is bat; the rest will take care of itself,”

Speaking about his knock against CSK, Jurel said he was playing according to the situation. He said:

“I just try to keep the game simple. I know that I can hit everywhere. I got some time as I went to bat with 4-5 overs left. I know if I score at a run-a-ball for six-seven balls, I can cover that up,”
