Is Rohit Sharma Joining Delhi Capitals In IPL 2025?

Recently, during the eve of the MI vs DC clash at the Wankhede Stadium, Rohit Sharma was spotted engaging in a conversation with Parth Jindal, the Director of JSW Sports and co-owner of Delhi Capitals. Mumbai Indians had also shared a video of the interaction on their social media platforms. Meanwhile, days after Rohit’s meeting with Parth Jindal, there are speculations about Rohit Sharma joining the Delhi-based franchise in the next season.

Several Tweets hint towards Parth Jindal showing his interest in getting Rohit Sharma to his franchise. It is no secret that Mumbai Indians’ decision to remove Rohit Sharma from the captaincy of Mumbai Indians has not been accepted by anyone yet. On this issue, a big statement has come from the co-owner of Delhi Capitals.

According to these Tweets, DC co-owner Parth Jindal has said that if Rohit Sharma had made Delhi Capitals the champions of the IPL five times, we would never remove him from the captaincy. Instead, we would rename the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium to Rohit Sharma Stadium.

Parth’s statement is like a slap in the face for Mumbai Indians, as it removes a captain who has made the team a brand and a successful franchise from his position. It is worth noting that Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium is currently known as the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium.
