Talking about the match, CSK’s chase of 138 runs started strongly with Gaikwad and Ravindra setting the tone. Vaibhav Arora dismissed Ravindra early, but Mitchell and Gaikwad built a solid partnership. Gaikwad reached his fifty in 45 balls. Narine broke their stand, but Dube continued the charge before falling to Arora. Dhoni’s entry spurred excitement. In the 18th over, Gaikwad’s boundary sealed CSK’s victory.
Earlier, Jadeja’s impressive spell restricted KKR to 137/9. Despite Salt and Narine’s brisk start, Jadeja’s double strikes dented KKR’s progress. Shreyas and Venkatesh struggled, while Russell contributed 10 runs. Mustafizur’s late double strike limited KKR’s total. Overall, Jadeja and Deshpande claimed three wickets each. Gaikwad’s captaincy choice to bowl first proved effective, securing CSK’s triumph.
