India was reduced to 191 all out:

The Indian side was asked to bat first after losing the toss on the opening day of the 4th Test match and their batting order collapsed once again. Chris Woakes and Ollie Robinson kept the Indian batsmen on their toes throughout their innings.

Indian opener Rohit Sharma (11) and KL Rahul (17) failed to give a rocking start to the game as they were dismissed early. India’s number 3 Cheteshwar Pujara was back again into his terrible form as he was dismissed for 4 runs off 31 balls, while Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was promoted to no. 5 position above Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant, however, he couldn’t contribute much with the bat as he was dismissed after scoring only 10 runs.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli looked confident as he scored a brilliant half-century with 8 fours to his name, however, he missed his 71st Test century again after a jaffa from Robinson sent him back to the pavilion. Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant were expected to rescue the team from this turmoil but they failed as well.

But to everyone’s surprise, Shardul Thakur stole the show with his stunning batting performance as he scored a quickfire 50 to take the Indian total an inch higher. England is currently 53 for 3 after reducing India to 191 all out.
