Fans Are Trolling Ajinkya Rahane For The Horrible Mix-Up Costing Virat Kohli’s Wicket

India’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane has found himself at the receiving end of trolling after he was involved in a horrible mix-up resulting in the dismissal of the Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

Virat Kohli’s decent knock in the first innings of the ongoing first day-night Test match against Australia at the Adelaide Oval ended up in a horrible mix-up with his deputy Ajinkya Rahane.

Team India was still mighty at 188 for 3, when Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane took the game by storm. It looked as if the two were on the way to stitch another big partnership. And just when the game looked tilted towards India and the Indian skipper looked all set to bring his first century this year, there came a moment that ruined it all.

It happened during the 77th over, Ajinkya Rahane hit the ball straight to the mid-off fielder Jaze Hazlewood and called the skipper for a single. Virat went for a full sprint without even looking back. But just then Rahane asked Kohli to go back and Kohli had no other option but to sacrifice his own wicket at 74 runs.

Here, watch the video:

Huge blow ☝

A mix-up has cost Virat Kohli his wicket, for 74! Australia strike only minutes before the second new ball becomes available!

While Rahane apologized for his mistake but Virat walked back to the pavilion in utter disappointment while amassing 74 runs in his account.

Meanwhile, the fans are not at all happy with the turn of events and are trolling Rahane over the same. From hilarious memes to jokes, twitterati just can’t stop trolling Rahane for the horrible mix-up.

Here, check out the reactions of twitterati on this:

If I were Rahane tbh I’d prefer going straight into team hotel instead of going into the dressing room now.

How the fuck he is going to face Virat Kohli now ???

Rahane took DRS to delay meeting Kohli 2 more minutes who’s waiting with a hockey stick. #AUSvIND
