The Virat Kohli room-leaked-video saga has raised plenty of questions and concerns among everyone.
On Monday, 31st October, Kohli uploaded a video on his Instagram which had been taken by a staff member of the hotel in Perth, Crown Perth, where Team India stayed when they arrived in Australia. This staff member, who has now been removed from the hotel, took a video of Kohli’s entire room without Kohli’s consent and in his absence and put it on Tik Tok with the caption “King Kohli’s Hotel Room”.
According to ESPNcricinfo, the incident in concern is of October 8, when Team India was in Perth for their warm-up matches.
Kohli posted it on his Instagram and expressed his frustrations. The 33-year-old Indian batter captioned his post: “I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment.”
Urvashi Rautela gets trolled for her comment on Virat Kohli’s post
Many cricketers and celebrities came in support of Kohli and showed their anger toward this act. Among many Bollywood stars, actress Urvashi Rautela also commented. She raised the concern if it was a girl’s room, then it would have been an even bigger problem.
Urvashi commented: “Absolutely!! Immoral, unscrupulous imagine they did the same with a girl’s room #unprincipled # dishonorable.”
Urvashi also posted Instagram story of his post of Kohli’s with same caption.
Fans, though, went after Urvashi for her comment. Some mocked her for trying to gain attention in this too, while some pointed out that irrespective of the gender this was a big breach of privacy.
