Fans Hail Dinesh Karthik After He Scored His Maiden T20I Fifty After 16 Years

It was in 2006 when keeper-batter Dinesh Karthik had made his T20I debut for the Indian cricket team, however, he has just smashed his maiden half-century. The veteran is aging like a fine wine and he continues to inspire everyone with his dream run, while slowly booking his place in the Indian set-up as a finisher.

Dinesh Karthik Continued With His Dreamy Run

Well, Dinesh Karthik has continued with his Midas touch as he produced a sublime performance with the bat during the fourth T20I of the series against South Africa.

DK’s magnificent knock helped team India reach a strong total of 169/6 in 20 overs after the side endured the worst start, losing wickets in quick successions. The likes of Ishan Kishan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pant, all failed to give the best of their abilities, leaving India in a state of trouble.

However, DK walked in with a huge cheer from the crowd, which has now become a ritual every time he comes to bat all thanks to his explosive performances for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022. And just like how he carried RCB in IPL 2022 with his sensational performances, DK was able to pull off another stellar performance for team India as he gave a perfect finish to the Indian innings.

DK walked out to bat when India was struggling 81 for 4 at one point. He joined hands with Hardik Pandya and together they got into the groove. The fortunes changed as the duo started smashing the Proteas bowlers to all the corners of the ground. While Pandya played the role of the anchor, DK smashed the bowlers to all the corners of the ground and registered his maiden fifty.

He played a stellar knock of 55 runs off 27 balls, smashing 9 fours and 2 sixes.

Meanwhile, fans on social media are hailing the brilliance of the talented keeper-batter for his amazing performance.
