Yuzvendra Chahal

Rajasthan Royals‘ sensational bowler Yuzvendra Chahal has etched his name in the history books as he became the highest wicket-taker in the history of the Indian Premier League. He achieved this feat during the league stage fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Chahal became the all-time leading wicket-taker in the history of IPL.

Chahal bagged the all-important wicket of Nitish Rana and achieved this milestone. Chahal, who had tied with Dwayne Bravo in the previous fixture, has now surpassed him to hold the numero uno position. He now has 184* wickets in 143* matches.

Sanju Samson brought Chahal into the attack in the 10th over of the game. Bagging the jackpot wicket in his first over, Chahal removed the big fish KKR captain Nitish Rana to achieve this massive feat.

Chahal”s IPL journey

One of the finest bowlers in the history of the IPL, spin wizard Chahal started his journey in the Indian Premier League with Mumbai Indians by joining them as a rookie in 2011. He made his debut in the IPL during the 2013 seas but went wicketless in the only fixture he played for them. He later moved to Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Chahal became an integral member of the Royals and went on to spend 8 seasons with them. His success with the Bangalore team saw Chahal making it to the India A team and he earned his maiden India call-up in 2016. And there have been no turning backs for the star bowler.

Chahal has a 5-wicket haul, a hat-trick, and as many as six 4-wicket hauls in the IPL.

Notably, Chahal is also the only bowler with 100+ wickets for RCB. However, he was surprisingly removed from the franchise in 2022 and was later bought by the Rajasthan Royals in 2022. He has been in form in the ongoing season and has scalped 18* wickets thus far.

Meanwhile, fans on social media went into a frenzy as they came up with amazing messages for the RR spinner. There were many who came up with hilarious meems while reacting to his new achievement.
