Despite his past achievements, Rohit Sharma’s performance as captain in recent IPL seasons has been underwhelming. His unexpected removal from the captaincy has sparked controversy, with rumors of unrest in the team’s dressing room circulating.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma’s absence from a recent team bonding event has fueled speculation further. The Mumbai Indians squad embarked on a trip to Alibaug on Tuesday, March 19, where they plan to spend the next few days before returning to Mumbai. Following their stay in Mumbai, they will head to Ahmedabad for their opening match against the Gujarat Titans on March 24.

As per a report from the Hindustan Times, Rohit Sharma was conspicuously absent when the Mumbai Indians team and coaching staff boarded the ferry to Alibaug. Notably, he was nowhere to be seen during the disembarkation of the players and other team members.

Jasprit Bumrah was also notably absent from the gathering, suggesting the possibility that he has not yet joined the team after the demanding Test series against England. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma had reportedly linked up with the team earlier in the week.
