Fans React To Virat Kohli’s Old Tweet After India’s Exit From World Cup

Last updated:

Virat Kohli and co. were eventually knocked out of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021 when the New Zealand cricket team thrashed Afghanistan in their league fixture on Sunday. The Indian cricket team heavily depended on Afghanistan’s win in their clash against New Zealand, which didn’t happen.

Social media has been buzzing with tweets regarding India’s exit from the high-voltage tournament. Meanwhile, an old tweet of Virat Kohli has been making rounds on the internet.

Well, a tweet from the year 2012 has been going viral on the internet, where the current Indian skipper Virat Kohli has said it isn’t a good feeling as they move for home tomorrow. The tweet is making more sense now than ever. The tweet was done after India’s ouster in the 2012 Asia Cup. It read:

“going home tomorrow. not a good feeling.”

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team will be locking their horns against Namibia in their last league match. This will also be the last game of Virat Kohli as the T20I skipper of India.

Well, ahead of India’s campaign in the T20 World Cup 2021, Virat Kohli had stated that he will quit the T20I captaincy after T20 WC 2021. Though he is hailed as one of the greatest batsmen, Virat hasn’t been able to get his hands on an ICC title yet. Unfortunately, this time as well, the skipper failed to ent his captaincy stint on a fine note as team India got out of the league games only.

Virat will continue to play as a batsman in the shortest format of the game while leading the team in the Test and ODI formats.
