‘India vs Pakistan’: 2021 might turn out to be an amazing year for the cricket fans as the fans might see the renewal of the iconic rivalry between India and Pakistan. The bilateral cricket relations between both arch-rivals might soon resume, as per a media report.

For the unversed, the last bilateral series between India and Pakistan took place in 2012-13 but since then the political relations between both the countries resulted in a complete halt of one-on-one series. Both the countries only lock horns with each other n ICC events and continental tournaments like the Asia Cup.  Both the countries last locked horns with each other in the 2019 World Cup hosted by England and Wales.

Talking about the latest updates, Virat Kohli-led Team India can lock horns with Babar Azam’s Pakistan in a bilateral series this year. As per a report by Pakistan newspaper ‘Jang’ and Geosuper.tv, the apex board of Pakistan cricket has been asked to advised to stay prepared for the possible bilateral series against India.

Though the hectic cricketing calendar makes it impossible for the bilateral series to take place this year, however, the report claimed that PCB has been asked to be prepared in case talks materialize in the future. “We’ve been told to be prepared,” the official was quoted as saying by Daily Jang.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani claimed that no one has contacted the board while denying that the PCB is in talks with the BCCI. The PCB sources also said that if the series takes place then it will be team India that will visit Pakistan as Pakistan had toured India the last time
